Egypt successfully defeated Cameroon yesterday to lift the 2008 African nations Cup. They won due to a solitary goal by Aboutreia in the 77th minute. The Egyptians went into the final brimming with confidence after beating the pre-tournament favourites Ivory Coast in the semi final round. They never looked like conceding a goal and that proved to be the difference between the teams. Cameroon got a consolation in the form of top scorer being one of their player's, Samuel Eto. the player of the tournament was Egypt's Hosny Abd Rao. Ghana secured the third place by defeating Ivory coast. This is Egypt's sixth title and proved that their victory in last year’s tournament held at their own place was not a fluke. They will definitely savour this moment for a long time tom come.

It's Super Tuesday Tomorrow
Well it is the biggest battle in the presidential election war. Voters in 24 states out of a total of 50 states go to polls to decide the presidential nominee for both the Democratic and the republican party. The race for the democratic presidential candidate seat is a two horse race between Hillary Clinton and Barrack Obama. So far Hillary has proved to be better in primaries while lagging behind in caucuses. She has also been performing better in the big states than Obama. The republican contest has three competitors. Mike Huckabee, John McCain and Mitt Romney will be vying for the votes. The predictions are in favour of John McCain and it is expected that he will ensure his candidacy for the republican presidential nominee. This will give him a headstart over his democratic rivals. Hillary was expected to easily get the nomination but Obama has surprised many and the contest looks like going down the wire and may only be decide in the final democratic convention.

Second marriage for the French President
Well after much controversy, hype and secrecy the marriage is finally over. The current French president Nicolas Sarkozy finally married his girl friend Carla Bruni in a small private ceremony in the Elysee palace. The rumours that they were going to be married had started when they took the Egypt trip together and then there was lot of controversy surrounding Carla Bruni's proposed visit to India for the republic day parade. The French president was the chief guest for the parade. Indian officials were in a fix but the problem was resolved when she didn't come to India at all. They are now married happily and received the congratulations of the world press and media.
